For signage production, it’s best to use files created in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format. This allows signs to be produced at any size while maintaining sharp, high-quality visuals without pixelation.
If you use other tools like Canva or AI-generated images, the output may become blurry or pixelated when enlarged. That’s because these files are usually created at smaller sizes, making them more suitable for social media or small print materials like flyers.

Once a sign is installed, you are required by law to pay an annual signage tax. There are three different tax rates, calculated based on the size of the sign, with a minimum fee of 200 THB per sign per year.
Signs that contain only Thai text and no images are subject to the lowest rate. The tax must be paid at the district office every February each year. Alternatively, after installing a sign, you should notify the district office within 30 days. Failure to do so may result in a fine if inspected by officials.
